I started this blog almost one year ago due to my love of metal detecting and it has been one hell of a roller coaster ride with a lot of ups and also many downs. I have experienced all manner of things ranging
from wild debate right through to death threats from anonymous keyboard warriors (rofl).
I got so in deep with this whole responsible detectorist crap and lost sight of the fact that after all is said and done this is only a hobby. With all of this i actually fell out of love with metal detecting, it was no longer fun and was all far to serious. I was warned but i still fell for it and was suckered in by the very people who wanted to use me to there own agenda for imposing their thoughts and beliefs, i am not even going to mention there names but everyone knows them as the anti-detecting brigade. For falling into their trap and letting down my fellow detectorists i am truly sorry.
So this brings me round to what is responsible detecting. I think as long as you abide to the code of conduct and report all of your appropriate finds to the voluntary system we all know as PAS then you are on the right track.
Sod all the rest of the nonsense the the anti-detecting lot try to force feed you, its bullshit.
Keep up the good work all
