AndyThat would have to be one special PI detector to justify that price, have to check the specs on the Garrett PI to see why?KPVW
To be honest for me that price is extortionate for a pi detector its in the same range as the minelab ctx 3030 which will do the same as the Garrett and more.
Garrett ATX id one of the best metal detector. It is not so expensive, however it is good. It is good coin metal detecting and suits for beginners as well.
The atx eats the 3030 on depth and in hot ground .. the tdi pro comes close but emi kills it .
Thanks for the comment Darren. I still haven't heard much about the atx, there must be a few using them now.
Ive got 30 hours on my atx . The deepest coin so far was 15" on a $1 coin "ozzie" I live in perth wa .. my mate has a Excalibur 2 and the atx beats it on depth in the water and dry land . Bottle tops I can find at 2 foot .
